Last week Pantone revealed the Color of the Year for 2014, Radiant Orchid! 

"An invitation to innovation, Radiant Orchid encourages expanded creativity and originality, which is increasingly valued in today's society"said Leatrice Eiseman, the executive director of the Pantone Color Institute.

Color Crush: Emerald

Emerald was named Pantone's Color of the Year for 2013, and it is also my birthstone! This radiant color has significant meaning behind it. It is said to bring growth, renewal, prosperity, well-being, and harmony. Saturate your space in emerald, or create a more subtle look with emerald accent pieces.

I love the simplicity of black and white rooms. It is so sophisticated and chic. This classic color scheme will never, ever go out of style. This scheme looks exceptionally beautiful when accented with a pop of unexpected color.
